Lately I’ve been getting invitations to do food demos, speak at panel discussions, and organize potlucks. I’ve never been this busy with Astig Vegan! I’m grateful and excited to take part in all these events and to interact with followers and new people alike.
I think it’s safe to say that the interest for vegan Filipino food is rising and it’s coming not just from vegan Filipinos but also from non-vegans and non-Filipinos. Just a couple of weeks ago, I held an event at the Asian Art Museum in San Francisco. I’m so glad that people enjoyed the vegan empanadas and panel talk even though most of them were not vegan. Also just recently was the 2017 Bay Area Vegan Potluck. I found out that non-Filipinos also enjoyed the vegan Filipino dishes.
Because these events take me away from the computer for now, I hope to at least let you know what’s going on with Astig Vegan. I’m posting here a list of dates to invite you to my events. If you don’t see your area, feel free to suggest to event organizers about my work and perhaps I could collaborate with them. I would love to expand the work of Astig Vegan as well as meet you face-to-face.
Here’s a list of Astig Vegan events. If you would like to get more details, feel free to click on the event name. The links will direct you to the events page. Hope to see you soon!
