Cooking can be such a visual medium, so I thought it’s best to shoot video recipes to coincide with the written ones here on the site. With the videos, you can see how the steps unfold. You may not smell or taste the result, but the look is enough to evoke nostalgia or intrigue. It’s also through watching someone cook that you get to know the person doing it. I’m not a fan of cooking videos where you only see close-ups of hands and food (although I’m guilty of this sometimes). Like how I learned from my mother and how my mother learned from hers, I prefer to teach personally.
With the videos on the Astig Vegan Youtube channel, I hope to be that friend in the kitchen that’s showing you an exciting, new way to make a dish. You’re more than welcome to stay on the website and compare the video and written formats. Or you can visit the YouTube channel directly and explore the other videos. Some people have told me they play the videos on their TV for a bigger view, while others use tablets. Whichever method you prefer, I hope you enjoy watching and cooking with me.
Below is a sneak peek of the Astig Vegan YouTube channel. I invite you to click the link and see what else the channel offers. Of course, you’re also more than welcome to comment, subscribe, or share the link with your family and friends.
So, let’s get to cooking, and kain na, let’s eat!
